Hi, my name is Gary Patterson. I know nothing about using a lube sizer. Currently I pan lube with a rather soft lube which works fine in my pistol. But it tends to be rather messy. I am wondering if a custom lube-sizer might be the answer. I have always let my cylinder and barrel throats do my sizing for me. But I shoot a .433 Keith style bullet in my Colt New Frontier 44 spl. It has a single wide lbe band at the bottom and a deep crimp band nearer the top of the bullet. I use my RCBS press, the only one I have. Please send me any information I need to consider before making a decision. Thank you, Gary
Hi Gary,
Here's my take on your situation: If you only shoot a couple hundred rounds a year, I'd just keep right on pan lubing, and wouldn't bother with anything else. But, if you shoot more than this, or would like to, a lube sizer will make it far easier and more enjoyable, IMO. You can start with a Lyman or RCBS machine, they will do a great job for you. Then if you really like it and want to take another step up, a Star or Ballisti-cast lube sizer will really make your sizing chores even faster and easier.

I received a collection of punches early this week. Excellent quality and they came fast at a good price. Very highly recommended!

Lathesmith, do you make dies for the SAECO /Cramer lube sizers? I need a .432 die to size for my Bulldog 44 Special. Thanks, Tim
Hi Tim, thanks for asking, but at the current time I am only making Star- and Lyman/RCBS- style dies.
