Duke:
I hear ya! I'm fully aware that this problem persists a little further south. We have problems up here as well, you know. Some prefer "Cows", an odd "Heifer", and at extremes perhaps a occasional "Pig". I've even heard of some "Dog F@*ker's" as well, do you thing that this is true?
One thing for sure, this "Sheep" problem is really playing havoc with the wool industry, there's no "Virgin Wool" to be found in some southern states and provinces. Perhaps PETA will step in.

in a womans opinion do not cook in the pot after melting lead. because according to walmart it is hazardous material
I use the same ladle and basic set up. My pot holds 250lbs, it is mounted higher then yours, back doesn't bend as well.
Ingot molds are made from 2" channel, they just fit into a Lee pot. I scrounged a steel table from work, small top 2 1/2' x 1 1/2'.
To speed up melting, I use a weed burner from Harbor Freight, $29. If directed inside the pot, it melts the load in about a minute to get started.

[QUOTE=DUKE NUKEM;397746]Thank you Thank you. I would like to thank all who have helped me win this high dollar award. High Dollar Award? What did I win? [/QUOTE
Ummmm, our respect and gratitude? (I gots nuthin' man!)
Bought my pot from the "Antimony Man", he has a site for casting gear. Looks suspiciously like a lodge. No legs on it. Made a heat ring that goes almost to the rim, really helps hold in the heat.
I don't think many of us are man-enough to lift a Jennifer Tilly-sized lead ingot. Nice pics Duke. You do everything in a big way.

Duke you might consider a old wet blanket or thick towel underneath the ingot molds. They might steam a bit but they should help considerably in the cooling time. And by wet, I mean almost dripping wet. Lead into on on water is not a problem, water into lead is where the tinsel fairy comes into play.
Fine looking setup though!
Boolits= as God laid it into the soil,,grand old Galena, the Silver Stream graciously hand poured into molds for our consumption.
Bullets= Machine made utilizing Full Length Gas Checks as to provide projectiles for the masses.
