Anyone try Green Dot in the 10mm?

I love my S&W 610 and I've been shooting the Lee 175gr T/C. I like using 6.0gr of Unique but I think the groups I get are as good as I can get with Unique. I want to try Grren Dot then 700X. Any of you use this bullet in the 10mm? If so what alloy did you use and so on. I shot this bullet mostly with WW and Lyno.

I've chronographed 1365 f/s average with the Unique load.

    Karma,
I shoot the 10 in a revolver, I believe you're moving in the wrong direction, at that velocity level I'd move to slower propellants. Better choices would be Herco, SR-4756, 800X, HS7 or my personal favorite in the 10mm, AA#7. There is one faster powder that performs well in the 10 (and many others) at velocities over 1000 fps, W231.

I also use AA#7 in my Delta Elite. I use 10.0gr. behind the 200gr. RCBS SWC. Straight Lino w/Alox-beeswax lube. Use to shoot bowling pin matches with this combo.

Green Dot is too fast a powder for high velocity loads. Unique is not even optimum, although it is a lot closer than Green Dot. My attempts at Green Dot in the 10mm have been for plinking rounds (not maximum effort loads).

I'm a moderator of the 10mm Reloading Forum over at Glock Talk. There's a TON of information on reloading the 10mm over there. I suggest you check it out:

A really short answer to your question, if you're looking for highest performance, is to concentrate on these powders: 800-X, STEEL, AA#9, and VV N-105.
