    Ideal 358416

I just scored this old jewel. I'm looking forward to putting it to use.

358416 is listed as a 158 grain Round Nose , should be just right for classic 38 special loads.
Is it me or does photo appear to show a flat point ?
Either way it appears to be a nice mould , nice score.

Looks like your mold could benefit from this treatment.

It is a good pattern. Yes, it does have a flat nose. Rounded sides to a flat nose. I had one for a while that I liked but sold as it was only single cavity.

That was the Colt 38 Special boolit, not to be confused with the S&W Round Nosed Boolit. LIke the 32 and 38 Colt New Police shells, the Colt 38 Special had a flat nose for increased knock down.

gwpercle, it's got a flat meplat, like the bullet Colt designed for their version. I wanted it for my Marlin 1894 as much as for my S. & W. Mod. 66 revolvers.

That's good , I like the flat point on a boolit myself and it will be perfect in your Marlin lever and model 66 ...
    Sounds like a winner !
