0.08 inches separated me from disaster. That was enough to keep the cam belt on and motor timing right. Could say that it was a close call.

I am so lazy.. I desided to make the core swage and core punch dies as .30.. So easy to make separate point form dies for .30 and .31..
As the point forming is basicly swaging up so there is no point to have separate die sets for those two calibers.. Saves time, money and material.
I know that it works as I have previously made plinking bullets for .338 from heavy .30 bullets. Have some cheap surplus Lapua D-46 bullets that I turned to 185 grs flat base plinkers for my TRG.

Will run out tool steel soon.. Could do maybe 3-4 calibers or differet ogives more, so have to order some more soon.

Will do the .224 and maybe 6mm next week. I was sceptic about the surface of the reamers, but was positively surpriced..
Maybe just soft polishing after hardening is needed and they are good to go.

This is how I round over the tubing. I used 4140 pr hard for the die and 1144 for the punches. I drilled the die and cut a 45 degree angle in the bottom and polished it to size so the copper tubing would slide in it. The punch I turned down to the diameter of the copper tubing then cut a shoulder into it to the inside diameter of the tubing. The length of the punch for the in side needs to be about a caliber shorter than the copper tube so the copper can move in the 45 in the die. I rounded over the punch a bit. Its not perfect but seems to work.

What dia. base punch are you using. I have only a 1/16" for my rockchucker, that one looks to be something around 1 /8" ? My base punches for the rockchucker need to be based on Blackmons adapter.
