are these carbide?

please bear with me but ive got a whole box of dies from a package deal.

ok,
i found another one.
is this a RCBS CARBIDE die?
it doesnt look like my regular steel ones and it doesnt look exactly like my carbide ones.
i have a feeling it is an older one and that is whats throwing me off.

You have an OLD model neck expander/decapper die. Part of a set as offered pre 1970's. I can't see the caliber but it is specific to the marked cal. This is a good example of why RCBS had problems (with me) and changed their design to fall in line with most everyone else's design which incorporate the decapper in the sizer.
The sets were made good enough BUT you needed 2 sets to load both 357 & 38Spl. Same with 44Mag & Spl. Along with the High price of each it made for a very expensive hobby. I bought Lyman. and now Lee.
It' easy to determine if a die is carbide or not. The carbide part is only a ring inserted in the mouth of the die. The Lymans are quite obvious but the RCBS and maybe some others are finished very smoothly on the OUT side so you have to look closer to see the difference in coloration of the different metals. A lot like checking for the lamination's on a Finn knife.
I find having odd tools to be handy when experimenting with unordinary cartridges. I'd keep it IIWM.

that is easy take a file and try to file the inside edge-- file will not do anything to a carbide die rick

But if it's not carbide you have a nick in your steel die!
