    500L Meat Bull

Solo Handgun Moose hunt. Brought the rifle in case I saw a griz in rifle range from camp. Left it in camp. There's a couple running around killing moose so they gotta go! I did see one but he was about a mile away and on the move. Pistol is a Gallagher built 500L. 455gr plane base water dropped WW from Ballisticast mould. 29gr LilGun, 1329fps. I hunt an any bull area and am not picky as to antler size.

Beautiful revolver. What are the grips made of?
Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.

Would'nt that be a good medicine for sir Griz too? As soon as it come close enaught, but you are still safe I bet. What is the effective range of such a pochettable cannon?

The 50's are great. I have shot the Linebaugh and even made a mold for it. I still like the JRH and I shoot a 440 gr PB boolit I made a mold for at 1350 fps.
I steered away from the cost of the Linebaugh but it is still a great caliber.
Good shooting and for the first kill it is great. I wish we could have seen the shot.
    Nice job!

CLASSY looking wheelgun right there! Good barrel length, nice grips, and excellent choice in sights.

Dall sheep horn I picked up in the Brooks Range on a sheep hunt.

Yes, good bear medicine. But in my moose hunting area griz are killing moose. I took my rifle in case I saw one from camp in rifle range I could kill it.

“Effective” range. My personal limit is 100yds IF conditions are right, I have a rest and I have no option of getting closer. But the point behind handgun hunting is getting close!

Bowen Rough Country rear. White line front makes for great contrast. Front sight is DX Weigand design so easy to change front sight.

"Praise God, it is time to go home." Good for you. I love the meat wagon, too. Great way to put a water trough to use.

Please don't take this the wrong way but Bear kill Moose. It's what they do. I'm sure they aren't killing them for sport.

Yup, Grizzly's kill moose. I eat moose. We are in competition on the food chain. He has big claws and big teeth. I have a big brain and big gun. I kill Grizzly if I can. That's what we do here in Alaska. In the area I live and hunt we have had an explosion in the griz population over the past 15 years or so. So much so that the State did away with us having to buy a tag to kill one. Also, griz can now be killed over bait in the spring.
