A jug of CFE Pistol. I had no intentions of buying powder today. I had no intentions of buying powder when I entered the surplus store. All I wanted was ammo cans. Which at $9 a piece for good condition I bought quite a few.
As I was checking I looked behind me and saw that they had ammo. And there sitting on top of a 20mm ammo can was the jug. Saw the price of $130 on it. Quickly checked Powder Valley on my phone, $133.50. Needless to say I grabbed it because powder is never cheaper locally than online.
Besides, I had some Cabelas cash so I was able to purchase some 9mm HAP bullets for less than PV price. I need some of that fancy CFE powder to shoot them :laugh:

Picked up one more 8lber of Titegroup plus some IMR 4198, but the buying frenzy will probably not materialize now!

Last week an 8lb. of CFE223, a couple lbs. of IMR4064. This week, 2lb. H-110, a lb. of IMR4227, and a lb. of 800X. Now if I could only find Blue Dot...

I could have bought anything at the local Scheels this weekend. Stopped in and they were overflowing with powder of all type. Bullseye was under $20 a pound. All Alliant powders except 2400 could be had. I have not seen more powder in one place in years. Didn't fit on the shelves.
I don't care what Alliant or anyone else says, they were manipulating the market the last 8 years. Limiting supply to increase demand.
