With all the threads on Star Sizer and PID temperature controllers (AKA the "K" thermocouple thread) I started thinking last week that a PID controller combined with a "J" or "K" thermocouple, and lastly a heating element of some type might be just the high tech solution to keeping those harder lubes flowing at just the right temperature when sizing/lubing large quantities of boolits.
I think I will order a "J" type and some pipe heater tape and see what I can come up with for a low cost temperature control for a Star Luber.
While on that thought, I would be willing to bet that an old iron would provide the same parts (and temperature range) for next to nothing.
More info later as it develops....
