Thank you GunGuy! It took 3 loads before it turned in that performance so not a lot of work. We'll see what the cast bullets take when everything arrives.
The 1899 that pietro and the '73 Dave bought are pretty slick!!

Chev. Williams how did think about rebarreling and rechambering it to .25? Anything shortage related? The end product is cool to the bone!
My latest was a .357 Ruger Blackhawk with a 4-5/8" barrel. I've wanted one of these since I was a kid. Remember the old Ruger ad showing a mountain lion in a tree and a hand cocking a Ruger .357 Blackhawk? Ever since I saw that ad I wanted one. Too bad I waited until I was 63 years old until I got one!
Traded for an unfired, in the box, 25 year old Ruger #1B in .280 Rem. Have dies but looking for brass, mold or boolits.
What my revolver Project took;
1. Used Ruger .22 Cal. Single Six to use as a donor revolver (mine was found at "American gun Works" in Glendale, CA).
2. Replacement 8 shot .22-MAG cylinder(s) (i Bought mine from "gunpartscorp.com).
3. replacement ruger "Hand" to be fitted to time the 8 shot cylinder. ('gunpartscorp.com' again).
4. Lothar Walther .25ACP/6.35 Browning Cr-Mo Alloy steel Pistol barrel Blank ( can take around 5 weeks to get).
5. Gunsmith that you trust. my choice is Willie Clark at "American Gun Works".
6. Supply of cartridges. This depends upon what you desire. My '6.35 series' cases are all home made from 5.7x28mm parents; my '.250 series' are made from .22 Hornet parents.
All require Tooling (dies, punches, presses, drill bits, etc.) to make. I use mostly Lee .25ACP Carbide ring Sizing dies, which are reasonable on a "retired budget".
7. Bullets are more of a 'problem except for two generally available ones the 35 gran hollow point and the 50 grain FMJ-RN ones. Lead Bullets are more difficult to find commercially but you can down size .257" bullets to fit.
8. Powders are as published for .25ACP, for starting loads, and personal development from there.
Perhaps you could start with a CF Ruger 'convertible' but then you will need to find cylinders to fit.
I was Lucky in my Used Find as it was within my range for purchase at the time (I am retired and must watch my Budget carefully).
Best Regards,
Chev. William

Chev. Williams, thanks for the explanation. It's a very cool idea, but unfortunately where I live (brazil) it can't happen, beginning with the lack of competent gunsmiths to other miseries... However it's a beautiful gun and a one-of-a-kind too. What about digging a nice little mold for it? It certainly deserves it. Shouldn't be too expensive either. Congratulations again!
