    ejection problem win 1894

I have a winchester 1894, made in 1955 or so.

When I pop the loading lever open quickly, or even moderately quickly, the loaded cartrage pops out of the gun's reeiver, and into the air.. Or it ends up, standing up, caught in the feed mechanism.

This is when I am levering a live round from the magazine tube into the chamber ... the ctg, just pops out of the gun.

Can anyone tell me what is the problem ?

Are both right and left cartridge guides in the gun? They're held in by a screw from the inside.
