Never heard of it. I was under the impression that a chipmunk was a very small rifle made for youth that was chambered in 22LR or the like

..............I've heard of the 22 Flea, which is a 32 ACP case necked to 22 cal, but ditto chaos on the Chipmunk.

I believe that North American Arms made an auto pistol in .25 NAA as they called it and it was a .32 Auto necked to .25. Gave more authority to a little pocket pistol than a .25 ACP or .22 LR could. Ought to be a great little plinker in a rifle! As far as the .25 Chipmunk, never heard of it except for like the other guys say---the little rifle built in Oregon that my daughter has now.

The .25 Auto case necked to .22 was called the .22 Epperson Cricket, IIR. I think he ran an appropriately-sized chucking reamer halfway into a .22 LR chamber to form the new chamber. I can't recall how he necked the cases down; most likely a homemade die. The complete description should be in the old Shooter's archives somewhere.

The .22 Chipmunk is a kid's sized bolt action .22LR single shot rifle.
