    50/50 Soder Bars

Did A Favor For This Old Plumber And He Said He Would Sell Me A Hundred Of The Above Bars For $100. Should I Take Him Up On This Offer. Have A Source Of Wheelweights And Have Make Igots Twice Now And Bullets A Couple Of Times. Been Told That The Bars Would Make Easier And Better Bullets. I Did Have A Some Old 70/30 Antimony Bars That I Have Added In Last Batch. Still Learning!! Thanks For All Input Jim

That sounds like a good deal to me - I have paid $5 each for 50/50 on occassion, although that's a bit high IMHO.

Are you satisfied with how your boolits shoot now? I could shoot ww only and never need to add tin but my rifles rarelty exceed 2200 fps. I add tin but usually only 6" or so to a 20 lb pot. The 10 lbs I bought in 96 are not nearly1/4 gone. If you have the cash and need tin for fill out, or to deal, go for it. If it is a hardship I would not worry about it. Gianni

Today I was quoted $8.00 per bar 63/37 solder, Since this is way less tin than 50/50 I think you ought to take this deal and run like h....

That's if you have the cash to spare of course.

When is 63 percent tin less tin than 50 percent? Only when the price for the TIN content is lower. ... felix
