I've used Smoke's clear with no problems. The dry powder goes on white so you can easily tell how the coverage is gonna be. They come out of the oven clear and shiny and stay that way. Zero leading, one coat cover, and simple patch cleanup. Have shot 380, 9, 38, 40, 45, and 300blk with clear ànd like it just fine. Funny thing is, I first tried the white aluminum to try and have a "natural" look before it ever dawned on me to just go with clear. Sure enough, clear makes the lead look just like.....lead. I still like the pretty colors too, though. Big fan of smoke's stuff. I have tried over a dozen of his sample packs and they all work great!
