First of all, not a cast boolit that was used, but it is my cast boolit rifle.
My daughter has been hunting with me quite a bit. She was with me when I shot a deer earlier this year. She just turned 7 and has been saying she wants to shoot a deer herself. The last three afternoons she has been shooting small pumpkins and a deer target at 75 yards. She is a good shot. Today we went out and setup along a fencerow where the deer come out about sundown. Two does came out and heard her when she asked me, "can I shoot one?" The bigger doe stared, stomped, bobbed her head and watched us for a while, then ran off to the right and kept up more of the same. She was facing us, and I wasn't going to allow a frontal shot. The other deer walked broadside and gave us an opportunity through a gap in the trees. My daughter had to shift position 45 degrees to the right, but got situated and lined up her shot. Placement was perfect behind the shoulder halfway up the body. The doe ran about 70 yards before she went down.
