Well, that seemed pretty easy! I think a different paper would be better to use, but for a first time "bumpin' the rails" exercise, I think it looks pretty good! It is an RCBS 45-500. It started life casted from a water dropped hard alloy and 522grs at .459. I'm not going to load this particular boolit, but used it just as a learning tool for this fun and new adventure into paper patching. I do plan to cast this same boolit from a soft blend, 20:1 or softer, and patch those to shoot. Thanks for all of the stickies and other random threads pertaining to the paper patched boolit. Without spending time reading through them all, I would still be in the dark.
