i had this in another section but most likely was the wrong one. took a white tail doe with my buffalo classic and a 450 grain paperpatched bullet. dropped like a rock. the powder was blackhorn 209. the biologist who checked the deer in was interested that it was took with a 45/70 and a pp bullet. said he has never seen that before. gave him one of the cartridges to put in his collection. the case was over 25 years old and still very good. shot many many times. the nickle plateing was half worn off it. both my 45/70s shoot paperpatch and either use blackhorn 209 powder or reloader 7. i cut the barrel on my buffalo classic to 28 inches as easier to carry in the cedars and pines.
