I've loaded 'em in 3" hulls and they are effective out of rifled gun - if you can stand the massive recoil!

Not sure for 0.060" but I have some load data for 2 ball loads using 0.690". I got them from the nitro express forum IIRC and have not tried them but comparing them to other similar heavy payload recipes they seemed acceptable.Try doing a search. It seems to me someone here was trying to put together a 2 3/4" double ball load along the lines of the Dixie Tri-Ball load using 0.060" or 0.061" balls. Also, there is a European website which I thought I had saved to favourites but did not (BAH!) that sells plastic "sabots" for balls and if I recall they had two and 3 ball sabots. I'll look for it but I didn't find it when I just surfed through my favourites. Not a lot of help.Longbow

If the balls are appreciably smaller than the bore, they would require a sabot or sleeve to keep them central. If they are touching but on opposite sides of the bore, they are almost sure to start rolling as they leave the muzzle, which is very harmful to accuracy.

Hah! I got an extra "0" in there 0.06" indeed! Anyway, the Dixie Tri-Ball load uses 0.600" balls and buffer:

While looking for that I found a post by Chicken Thief with a link to the site I mentioned:

    http://www.siarm.com/index.php?cPath=2_20_164_60

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see the 2 ball sabots, and a bit of info on 2 ball loads:

    Not much load data though.
