357 12* spire point swage dies that I am making.

Finnaly have some pictures of the dies that I am making along with one of my "rough" test targets. No load work up was done just a start load to prove function and operation. The cartridge was 357 max with 20 gr H110 . Chrono'd @ 1550 fps from a 14" tc.@ 25 yds, the grids on the target are 1/2" and while I am certain I will do better with optics this is about as good as my eyes work when tired. The slugs fired for the test were 180 gr truncated cone ( short point formed ) I have also made 148 gr hollow point as a proof run , and also a jacket notching punch ( internal ) . These are threaded 5/8"-24 tpi I will also be doing them threaded for the Walnut hill press as well.

Some better pictures of the slugs used in the testing, The dies are made from tool steel cut with hand made 4 flute reamers ( HSS ) , the dies are hardened then lapped to final dimension with diamond lapping compound. Pm with any questions .

35 caliber holes in a target just look good!

I am glad to see someone on the board making dies for the Walnut Hill press. I own reloading press swage dies and have adapted them to the Walnut Hill. My reloading presses no longer swage bullets. I have been itching to try out a set for the Walnut Hill. PM sent!

MY plan is to have 44, 41, .375 in the very near future. After "much " trial and error with single flute reamers , finding the results to be mediocre at best. I have started grinding my own multi flute reamers from HSS. This thread can be considered a feeler as I have already made contact with the administration for a (VS) position. If there is any interest in dies ( full or partial sets ) PM for info.

blaser once your V.S. stuff goes through feel free to put your price up in this thread.
then set up your V.S. section with pictures and such.
this thread would then give a place to re-direct from at least for a while.
