    S&W factory forcing cone angle?

    Does anyone know what the factory forcing cone angle is on a 1994 M29??

    Probably 18 degrees Basic. That's what my. 45 ACP Model 625 Modelnof 1989 was before I cleaned it up with an 11 degree reamer to remove the tool marks without having to set back the barrel.....

    Thanks, that's what you told me over on M14...

    I guess I can make more than one lap at different angles and test for best fit...

    The Idea is to clean up what I have before carving on it.

    Cast laps in the original forcing cone and go that direction. Just don't overdo it.

    Not sure the angle but pretty sure on my late model one they used a thread cutting tap...
