I have used that boolit in the past. It was an excellent shooter.

Do all lee molds now use that style of venting? I have bought a few maybe 1-2 years ago and they look nothing like your new one.

All my recent Lee molds are using new venting. I think it is a work in progress.
Notice the shape of the locating pins. That is new in the past few months as well.

I just received my first new Lee mold also. I am really going to have to think on where my temp. probe will go. Just not enough room. An with the decrease in size I am afraid mold temp. will have to be increased.

Lee's latest and greatest. I haven't seen one vented under the sprue plate like that yet though.

Wow. Looks like Lee is still improving their molds. I'd be interested to see how they come out.

I have a few newer Lee molds. Better design and quality, yet the newer block loses heat quicker.

Just added a 6 cavity .224 Bator to my lineup. It is my first 6 cavity but it is making good bullets right off the bat.

So the way I read that is that you have to cycle the mold even quicker to get good boolits from the new style Lee molds, correct?

If so, as long as they fall freely, I don't really see a big problem. If they stick however....

I had not notice until I prepared the mold for use that the beveled edge has been removed from the blocks . Left the pivot screw alone as I have the past several LH screws . Only issue was getting all the oil out of the mold . Used 8 bhn lead , and the bullets dropped freely at .3585-.359 and 155 grains . These are right out of the mold before sorting, weighing or sizing. Marvin

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Only real problem is if you have to take a break for some reason, like going to the bathroom, or taking a call. And it's not that big of a deal. It'll vary with the bullet cavity size too.
