Thought I would share...newest toys coming

The Marlin is a 94 chambered in 500 JRH. The Ruger is an Old Model Single Six in 40 S&W. I wanted to do something like Lloyd Smale's 41 Special, but with easy to get brass.

It would seem that the wall thickness of the barrel where the threads are will be on the thin side.

Nice, but I don't think that's a Single Six. Congrats on two beautiful and unique guns.

    Nice guns.
Topstrap, maybe. Cylinder/frame looks too big to be a Single Six. Been wrong before, just can't imagine a 40 S&W in a Single Six.

Yep, it started out as an old model Single-Six. Sent to Ruger to have the transfer bar conversion done to it before sending it to Jack. It is a five shooter, that way I can load all five chambers.

I could see that it was a 5 shot cylinder. Dang levergun looks NICE! They both do but that CC and the wood oh yeah.. The wood on the .40 is REALLY nice! We need more pics, that's all there is to it!
Got a .22 .30 .32 .357 .38 .40 .41 .44 .45 .480 or .500 S&W cylinder that needs throats honed? 9mm, 10mm/40S&W, 45 ACP pistol barrel that won't "plunk" your handloads? 480 Ruger or 475 Linebaugh cylinder that needs the "step" reamed to 6° 30min chamfer? Wow, can't imagine a Single Six with a .40 bore. Doesn't seem much meat would be left on that bbl.

Probably pretty thin, but then again, so are most auto loader barrels. That should make a great combo.

Jack Huntington did both of them. Lloyd Smale's 41 Special Single Six was the catalyst for the 40. He is also in the process of duplicating the 500 lever gun in 480 Ruger to be companion rifle to a short 480 built on a Ruger medium frame single action that he did for me awhile ago. I will see if I can find an old pic of it.

Here is the 480. It now wears grips from Tedd Adamovitch.

You said they were coming, have they shown up yet? What's the story on that Marlin? Please don't tell me who supplied the grips on that Ruger. Been a rough couple of months, lol.

No, I need to make my final payment this month. The grips were made by Jack. He set aside a sweet piece of wood for me. Thdoie Marlin was a pre-safety rifle I lucked into cheap at a pawn shop. I always wanted one in 500 JRH to match a revolver Jack built fir me years ago. He said he could doit, and did. The sights are a set of 3 leaf Holland &Holland express sights with flip up ivory bead from NEC that I had. Seemed like it would be cool to put them on....we'll see.

Saw that express sight, looks right at home on that rifle. Very nice.

That rifle reminds me of an old Pat Travers song! Boom Boom (Out Go The Lights!)
