    My 32-20 CPA is here!

Just got it Friday, and have been too busy to do more than cast a few boolets to break in the Hoch mold. Extra fancy wood, bench rest fore end, Shilen #5 half-round hand lapped and gauged .3201 barrel, Neidner buttplate. It's chambered in 32-20, and it came with a Hoch spitzer mould. Took 5 month and a week from ordering to delivery, well worth the wait. My first and last custom rifle! I have to cast a bunch more boolits, which will take time with the single cavity Hoch. Hope to be shooting it next week. The scope is a Lyman STS 25x. Will give a report if I dare....

Is that the benchrest or Varmint model? Beautiful rifle there. I have one of the shillouette models in 40-65 with 30" tapered octagon barrel. I really like the case hardening they do. and fit and finish is great also. Also remember that these are set up as a swap barrel rifle so all you need is the new barrel assembly and extractor to change calibers. Several on here have one rifle and 2-3 barrels for it.

Lovely. I would very much like to build a dedicated cast bullet target rifle but in view of there being nil in the way of competition etc here there appears little point.

What's not to like?. Case hardened steel, great wood and nice bluing. And in a caliber you don't have reform, swage, trim and fireform. Frank

CBA has enough postals, requiring at least 4 new guns

i see what you mean but not over the stove, maybe over the dinner table in a specially made showcase that controls humidity and protects from dust. Putting it over the stove would destroy the wood.

More photos? Done! Gonna be a week before I can shoot it and probably longer to figure out how to make it shoot! Thanks for the compliments. It is a benchrest fore end but sporter butt stock.
