30Carbine, the 22 Spitfire GK speaks of is a bottleneck cartridge that headspaces off the shoulder. What he mentioned is fact. It is formed from the 30 Carbine case.

When he says .22 Hornet, he meant 22 Hornet projectiles, not cases.

Ed Arthor Brown, www.eabco.com, is selling reproduction accelerators and loading tools for a very reasonable price. They also have load data, including for 30 carbine.

Remington don't make them anymore. Midway shows they still have some but not at the price they want . I bought a case of 300 when they came out. I have shot about 5 boxes. I wont say they are one hole but at 4000fps not many are. I have got several ground hogs and only thing left is the feet. Kind of fun to see them blow up in scope.
I shot a 6in locust fence post. I had 2 180gr 2 150 gr and 2 acc the 180 and 150 didn't go through the acc blew the back side of the post
as for the carbine I think the Oal may be a problem with a 62gr could be with a 55 gr and may be a bit heavy to get any speed

Hi 30carbine.A friend in Fl has two spitfires. One will shoot 1 1/2" groups at 100 yds.The other holds minute of coffee can at 25.I do know that at 25 yds they will kill like the hammer of thor on deer. His wife spotted a big(for Fl) deer in their garden.DRT with a slug placed behind the right ear.Good luckHave fun.Be safe.
