I have been using vintage Ideal.Lyman moulds for many years. Recently, I have aquired a couple of other brand vintage moulds.. 2 cavity Cramer & Hensley & Gibbs. The quality of all of them is great..I think the Hensley & Gibbs has the best looking precision machined cavities. However..the design of the sprue plate & stops on the Cramer & H&G are less user friendly than the Lyman...The sprue plate handle is very short making for hard cutting until mould is very hot..(I use gloved thumb). And the fillister head screw for plate stop..while adjustable for slight plate hold-down..tends to accumulate lead. I guess thats what custom mould makers are for..providing the best of both worlds!
