Great Pictures Hogtamer. Thanks for pointing me back again. Now I need to go and try another wad. I ordered the PT1205 from BPI because of the load data that posted for red dot. I will also try for the 16 ga card wads to double stack onto the 20 ga wad. Again, thanks for your posts. rc
that was is IMHO still inferior to the green super short... the petals are still sticking up and are at risk of damage.
I will try the green super short next. I ordered the pt1205's because of the load data posted on BPI website. Sirsloop, your crimps look fantastic in your pictures. I am roll crimping because I got tired of crushing hulls trying to get the darn things to crimp.
thanks rc
the crimps usually come out bad because the column is too tall... that's why the short wad combined with the 7/8oz slug works so well on a crimp.
I couldn't get mine to crimp unless I was using those black hull Winchester PDX rounds. Those seem to crimp fine. BubbaRealtree Outdoors on YouTube has done extensive testing with PT1205 wads and the Lee key slugs. He's got i pretty much figured out as far as accuracy wise. That's where I was introduced to the PT1205 wads for sabots.
