    Scope base spacing

Does anyone know what the spacing between bases should be for Lyman Super Targer Spot scopes and Unertl 2" target scopes?
Any suggestions on where to get bases?

    Thanks,

    John

    Johnw...ski:

Steve Earle, <steven.m.earle@comcast.net>, (781) 585-3929 makes all imaginable kinds and styles of target scope blocks in various materials and finishes, and says he has over 1000 in stock at present. He is also a master gunsmith, and is building the magnificent replica Frank Wesson No. 1 S/S rifle for the ASSRA raffle. I THINK the separation is 7.2 inches, center-to-center, but that is from memory, so check it out with him.

There were different distances. 7.2 inches was for 1/4 minute clicks value.

For 1/4 minute click mounts at various base separations:

    14.4"----1/8 minute click
    12.6"----1/7 minute click
    10.8"----1/6 minute click
    9.0"-----1/5 minute click
    7.2"-----1/4 minute click
    5.4"----1/3 minute click

Johnw...ski: What rifle are you mounting the scope on and are you going to need std. or posa bases?

Steve Earle is also one of the nicest people that I know - we have broken bread. Wonderful machinist (precision is "coarse" to him).

7.2" spacing center to center is the "standard" and represents 1/4" clicks as stated by rmb721.
