Has any manufacturer stepped up and starting making lube groveless molds for .45ACP 230gr RN yet? Or do I still need to have them custom made? I was hoping the popularity of coatings would cause a few more manufacturers to step up. Any progress?

Step up? Progress?
Make a mold that removes the option of using lubes, shortens a bullet that is already pretty short to begin with (.45 ACP bullets have very little in the case)........I see that as a step backwards.
You can spray PC on a grooved bullet. I do it all the time.
The hardline Industry boolit showed tangible better accuracy when compared to coated boolits with grease grooves in 5 different handguns shot from rests. I even shot at 25 yds...
Guns were:
Colt Commander
Colt Government
Glock 36
Glock 21
HK USP
YMMV

Anything in my catalog is available without lube grooves, although that would be kinda "custom"...
Waiting on mine from Hardline as well as one in 40. Anxious to get it, but be aware when I ordered he said 4 weeks and we are very close to that now. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks I think and I have not heard anything yet so be prepared for a wait.
I had a quote in for a 6 cavity 230gr mold. I've never had an iron mold...how heavy is that going to be? Am I going to regret that? Volume is the name of the game for me, I'm casting for a machinegun.
Hello Everyone,
Thank you all for the support and continuing patronage. We greatly appreciate the reviews and customer feedback on our products and services.
Bigarm: Your order is complete and ready for shipping. I will supply a tracking number when it goes out.
Pyrex: Our 6 cavity molds weigh 2 3/4 pounds. I don't believe it will give you any more of a workout than pulling the trigger of your machine gun after you load all of those slick sided bullets If you think otherwise, call or send me an email and we will work it out.
Thank you,

You'll love the Hardline molds. They heat up and hold heat fantastic, and the boolits drop amazingly easy. I have a 4c 230gr 45 mold and a 6c 147gr 9mm mold. They're a little heavy, but totally manageable.
Thanks Derek! Really looking forward to getting them. Thinking about what mould to order next. Probably something that can be used for both 9mm and 38 super.
gorgeous! Thanks for the quote! Gotta embezzle money so the wife doesn't notice!
I have one from Arsenal molds. A 45-230-GR- PC. Casts great and shoot great with PC.
All times wasted wots not spent shootin!
Don't wait for Lyman ... seems like every year the drop more and more moulds from their line .
A few years ago they stopped making all .410 cal moulds ...all discontinued.
For the price Lyman charges ... I can get a nice NOE mould with or w/o hollow point pins , PB or gas checked .
Bye Bye Lyman .... Hello NOE
