I've been looking for 44 Magnum load data for this mold/bullet. The actual weight is about 254 grains. The gun is a Rossi M92 (1:30 twist, 20").
I seem to have a lot of Trail Boss and 800-X to work with. I tried Unique last weekend (10 to 11 grains in 1/2 grain increments), but didn't find any tight groups with my gun with Unique.
This is a new weekend, so I wanted to try some different powders, maybe adjust what I've done with the Unique (but I have less than a pound of it left, and I can't find anymore).
I do have some H110, Lil'Gun and Titegroup, in addition to the TB and 800-X. Hodgdon's web site lists loads for 240 grain and 270 bullets, but I'm half way between those two. 800-X has done real well in my 45 Colt (250 grain cast), and I was hoping to find a load range for it, but Hodgdon only list a max charge for 800-X in 44 Mag (13.4 grains for a 240 grain LSWC) . I figure the knowledge base here might have some ideas for starting loads. I've been searching all week for data, as I have time. Now it's weekend time!
I'm looking for mid-range loads, nothing high velocity.
I have 44 Special brass too, and I wouldn't mind suggestions there either.
Thanks in advance guys.
