I have a Hi-Standard Double Nine 22 revolver that over cocks when using single action. Pull hammer back to cock it and it travels to far allowing it (trigger) to fall down under the hammer. I have cleaned the gun disassembled it and looked for damage and wear but see nothing extreme or unusual. Ok i'm not a gun smith but am mechanically inclined. was hoping someone could point me in the right direction or area to look for the problem. The gun was handed down from my wife's grandmother who passed in 2013 so would like to shoot it in single and double action. Plus really curious. thanks Rich
