Here's a pic of my newest recruits in the search for accuracy. Not much on rank and file, and some probably won't pass the physical, but, not bad for the first time. These came from an old Ideal single cavity mold from fleabay. The vendor spared every expense in selling this, even stripping the handles. But, careful cleaning on my part got the rust out, and a spare set of Lee 6 cav handles fit just fine. The mold is a 311466, and drops a 312 boolit of 157gns weight. I am again struck by how much easier it is to cast with an iron mold over an aluminum device. I guess it's because they hold their heat longer and more evenly. Wish it were a 2 cavity, but, this one cav mold works great! mikey

Just like any recruit; get in uniform and groomed, then give them a decent kick in the pants they will do as you aim.

holy cow you got Duncan Mcleod to join...
I have a nei copy walt made years ago my rifles either love this boolit or hate it.
it's the ones that chamber it easily without having to deep seat the boolit too much that love it.

I've got a 2 cavity mould in a solid, and a single cavity with a Buckshot hollow point, really nice, have yet to work up an acceptable load for my .308.

It's a steel mold and you haven't quite got it up to it's optimum operating temp. Once you start casting with the mold at around 400F you'll like it even more. RCBS and SAECO are the mainstream cast iron alloy molds.

It's not about gun control, it's about people control. The progressives are using terrorists and the insane to further their agenda. If the socialist news media wasn't complicit, we could sit back and watch Fast & Furious and Benghazi-gate unfold.
