Value of old herters swage dies and half jackets

What do these go for if the set is complete with everything? I tried searching some but did not have much luck. Thanks for your help!

Can you describe what you have? Caliber, number of dies number of half jackets?
I bought 1500 38 cal half jackets at a pawn shop recently for 10 dollars, I think that was a pretty good deal.

I have the core molds for 22 308 and 452. I have the jackets for all but the 22 and have the dies for all but the 308. Handles are included.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and posit that you're gonna' ask more than $0.75 each for the dies and more than a $1.00 for the core molds. Just guessin'

Herter's swaging tools have been going for $160 and up, some days way up, on the large flea market auction.
The lower price is for a tool with no instructions and no guarantee that all pieces are present.

Have you checked the eBay prices? I think that similar dies run about $150 and up. The molds probably $25 and up. The Herters half jackets about $25/250 I think. Rough estimates. Based on that, I would gladly give you $75 for the lot sight unseen unless some other joker has glommed on to them!

I got a set of 38, 44, and 45 cal Lachmiller swage dies and 2 full boxes of 44 and one full and one 1/3 box of 38 half jackets for $20 at a gun auction a few weeks ago. No one else bid.
Half jackets sell for about the price of a ready made jacketed bullet on ebay.

How do the Herters bullets shoot? I have heard that they were not to accurate.
