    300 lbs of #7 1/2 shot

I have been offered 300 lbs of lead shot #7 1/2 and the seller wants be to make him an offer, with ww co or so I fell good at getting them for .30 -35 cents a lbs. unknown if reclaimed shot or new or if it oxidized what have you been paying for new or used? all so what is the best use to put this to? I do not reload shotgun ammo -yet, i have not needed to heat treat my cast boolets , I cast for .45 apc,.45 colt , 30-30 and .45-70.wood using 10% shot guessing 3% sb and 88%pb and 2% sn for a hardball alloy or a mix of 9% shot 5%sn and90%pb for a close to #2 Lyman. both of them wood be of use to me. your input wood me very helpful to me. thanks Donald Richardson

If you don't need it all and care to sell some I could use a bit to help in heat treating.

At the present time I am paying $38 for a 25 pound bag of shot. Eagle brand which appears to be a fairly high antimony alloy. I use it for trap and sporting clays, one ounce for competition and 7/8 ounce loads for practice. I go thru a bag and a half a month.

They want $44 for a 25# bag of shot around here. I'd be willing to trade ingotized pure for virgin shot.
Due to market fluctuations I am no longer buying range scrap jackets.

That sucks. I would have bought some from you for melting and reloading for trap.

Another point. it would have been good to know if it was Magnum shot. It is supposed to be higher in sn.

yes that is a let down. it wood have been nice to have and use and have some for sale or trade. I never did find out if it was magnum shot , I was just guessing it wood be chilled shot as it dove loads that is the load found most often in this area. I feels like we are all ways chasing after lead and rumors of lead like Coronado and the seven cites of gold with much the same results.
