    ship question

My brother bought a new alphabet set for his son. Next to the letter are is an old ships wheel. It is the style with the spokes and grips. Why would they put it next to the letter R?
I keep trying to stay afloat but can't help from shooting holes in my own boat.

It is Round. It Revolves. It Relates to kids. It seemed Reasonable to the manufacturer?

What image is next to the other letters? Is there a theme of some sort?
You will learn far more at the casting, loading, and shooting bench than you ever will at a computer bench.

One of the most endearing sights in the world is the vision of a naked good-looking woman leaving the bedroom to make breakfast. Bolivar Shagnasty (I believe that Lazarus Long also said it, but I can't find any record of it.)

    Maybe it isn't a ship's wheel.
Is it a rowel from a spur?

I btroj is right. It is definitely a ships steering wheel.
