I cast some 35 rifle boolits - RCBS 35-180-SIL and Lyman 358315. Also some 358672's, an interesting 220 grainer not in the Lyman cast bullet manual - too new, I guess. For my 35 Whelen and for a chum. Will size to .359, using NRA loob.

One of the most endearing sights in the world is the vision of a naked good-looking woman leaving the bedroom to make breakfast. Bolivar Shagnasty (I believe that Lazarus Long also said it, but I can't find any record of it.)

Just over 23lbs of boolits.
Today I got a new to me antique mold up and running. Cast enough to be sure a tiny bit of lapping removed the cavity burrs keeping it from closing all the way and making it drop out of round with a bit of flash. Only .0005" out of round once I got it where light did not show between the halves any more. It will get a longer workout once the pot has a more appropriate alloy than my monotype mix in it. Testing out a couple of new molds that I bought... a 150 grain Lee 309-150 and the 173 grain Lyman 311041. Remarkably (or maybe not) the Lee is dropping bullets right at .3105 and the lyman is squarely at .309. Kinda bass ackwards eh?
Now to wait for my order of LSStuff's caranuba red to show up to lube them up.

Casted today some Lee 426-214gr boolits for my 44. In AK the weather has been kinda warm (in the 20s) so gotta take advantage you know!
Gonna load it later with some Trail Boss. Love that stuff!
Cast about 200 BRP .45 325gn Hammers, some .45 350gns, 200 or so GB 434640's and 50 wadcutter glue-boolits for the 38spl. Snow had the garage range open this morning, thank goodness for hot glue.

It must have been a good weekend for the Lee 358-125RN. I cast up a whole pot full of them on Sunday, and another pot early last week. About 1400 of them total. Also cast around 300 Lyman 358495 WC's out of a single cavity, 250 Lyman 452374 RN, and 200+ Lyman 358156 SWC's. I've learned to actually enjoy casting with a single cavity mold more and more lately. I can push out 4+ per minute and the boolits just drop free so easy. All boolits sized last night and tonight with Speed Green. Marathon sizing session with an RCBS LAM.![]()
This Sunday I made some .38 wad cutters for plinking.
I cast about 150 boolits, then my back told me it was time to quit. I was alternating between the Lee 148-WC button nose wad cutter, and the double ended Lee TL-148-WC.

What are you swaging with those?
At one with the gun.
Last Saturday I cast up about 300 Lee TL452-2302R for my dad and my FFL. Left the pot full of pretty soft alloy for some NOE 358-128 HPs, on deck.

I use my 20 ton shop press with a wire extrusion die I made about 5 years ago.
I make lots of different sized of wire with it.

Just staying at home and playing with multi-color boolits.
Used a mold that a local professional reloader lent me. It is a original H&G 68. cast 20 lbs of bullet today and must say that it is one of the best molds i have used. It made casting go really fast with beautiful cullets
Nothing, but I found a wheel weight while getting new tires on my truck.

Heated up the pot last night and ran 2 different molds: TL-452-230RN and 452-200SWC H&G #68.

Used my NOE copy of the RCBS 360-200 FN for the first time today. Drop at .361 and 213 grains w/ 96/3/1. Bullets just fell out of the mold. One of the easiest I've used right out of the gate.
