    Question 6.8mm Remington SPC Articles...

I am looking for a comprehensive article on the 6.8mm…

I looked in all the indexes, at least back to the time the 6.8mm entered the force, and I can’t find an article in Handloader…

Did I miss it? How about Rifle Magazine—I don’t subscribe to it, but if someone does, maybe there was an article in it about the 6.8mm?...

There is a 6.8mm website, but for the most part, it concerns semi-stuff…

I am shooting it in a T/C Carbine and so far pretty good accuracy…

    Any help?...

    Thanks…BCB

I don't know if you can still find it on the newsstand anywhere, but the Rifle AR Special Edition, Fall 2013 had a write up on 6.8 SPC. I don't have the actual issue to tell you if it is very in depth.

Specifically, how does it compare, volume wise, to the 7BR case? I would like to know that for the same reasons! I have always dreamt of a 14 twist 270 that will shoot a low BC boolit to 2400 fps. ... felix

    32± grains of water…

    The T/C barrel is a 1:10 twist…

    I’m getting 2678 fps with the Sierra 90 HP—30.0 H-322…

And 1013 fps with the 280642—6.0 Trail Boss…

Still messing with the Hornady 100 SP, but showing good promise with IMR-3031…

Actually, I suspect this rifle will stay a jacketed bullet shooter…

It is about 4 gr less, 34.8(6.8) vs. 38.8(7mmBR).

Yea, that is the case capacity...

I was giving the usable capacity with several seated bullets that I have tried...

Yeah, thought so. Practically the same-o, same-o for cast. 10 twist should allow slow biggies with enough accuracy. Done that as of yet for proof? Perhaps the ...642 is heavy enough, eh? ... felix

That's a 10-shot group at 75 yards. The quarter is for reference...

I was using the 280642 to fireform the cases to the chamber as I was having misfires. I seated the cast boolit to the rifling and it allowed the cartridge to fire...

So, the pic is just shooting to fireform--not too bad I don't think--but slow velocity and too much rainbow out to 150 yards. Plus too much 'scope adjust for the 90/100 grain jacketed and back to cast...

Enough accuracy for shotgun shells at a hunnert with the advantage of lousy conditions (compared to 22s) to boot! ... felix
