Anyone use a Canadian (or foreign) pharmacy?

I have some meds that have to pay for out of my own pocket. These meds are frighteningly expensive. I know there are legitimate (and a lot of illegitimate) Canadian or foreign pharmacys that exists. My doc says find one and get the meds through them. I get 5 emails a day telling me of Canadian pharmacies....all scams.
Anyone use one and can recommend one ?
    Many thanks.

Don't know about your question for online or mail stuff, but how hard would it be
to drive over the border, find a real pharmacy and talk to them about this? May
be able to do further business by mail, or you may have to drive over and get
a 3 month or 6 month supply in person. Just an idea, noticing where you are.
Not too practical for me, about 800 miles or more to Canada from here.

    Bill:
You are where I used to be. My Dad was stationed at Ft. Leavenworth and I graduated from Leavenworth High School. Went to Kansas State.
Your idea has merit. However, Canada is still maybe a 5 hour trip from here.
    But not a bad idea.
I think the mail is easier however.

I get terrible sinus infections occasionally. The decongestants have been watered down or eliminated due to Meth makers in the US. I could buy some Drixoral on line from Canada for $66 a dozen + shipping. A recent trip to Alberta left me with some for $8 a dozen out the door. Bill's idea has merit.

Since I'm in the racket myself, I'll comment: I sure like the idea of visiting Canada and making sure you're dealing with a real pharmacy; the huge majority of "Canadian" pharmacies are a scam of some sort. Other advice: shop around! Phone a local independent pharmacy and price check; send me a PM and I'll give you cost info

Yes. I bought Indian meds for years. They'll be happy to ship them to you, available over the net.

My wife used "The Canadian Drug Store" for years. Now her Dr. furnishes all her meds even cheaper.

So, do you still have some purple T-shirts?

5 hours is longer than I had imagined. I didn't think it took more
than 2 hours to drive end to end of NH.

I've had to utilize pharmacies while working in Mexico many times....those were rather interesting experiences.
Despite what some might tell you, you do not need a prescription for what we would consider controlled meds. I'm grateful my wife is a pharm tech! She was able to guide me through what drugs I needed to kill the science project growing in me.
Canadian pharmacies are could be an option worth exploring in your case.

I've noticed that some of the "Canadian" pharmacies are in fact Indian ones (or at least getting their drugs from India). When a drug goes generic, it opens up a lot of places where it can be manufactured. For that matter, are we really even sure that the generics that we get in the US are manufactured here and not imported from overseas? When I go down to Mexico, I always pick up a few bottles of antibiotics for those cases where I know that I might need it and don't need to have a doctor tell me that (e.g. bronchitis, etc).

They are made here, shipped over seas for packaging and then shipped back here. Why do this? Because it was cheaper then completing the entire process here. The FDA has started to crack down on them, after a few deaths, so they are bringing the packaging back over here.

Take a look at <canadadrugpharmacy.com>; I've used them for several years with no problems.

And if you look at the fine light gray print at the bottom of their web page, you see:

My wife works for one of the largest mail order pharmacy companies in the States. Most of the scripts are filled with drugs produced overseas. Kinda sobering when you percolate on it.

You want to simply check out the price at Wall-Mart pharmacy first. I'm no wally booster but they have the cheapest drugs.
After I lost my insurance along with the job. I discovered I could purchase my meds for less at Wall Mart than I'd been paying in co pay. I still buy my meds in town because it's a fifty mile round trip to wall mart.

I get my ****** from Northwest Pharmacy, in Vancouver, BC. They have my scrip, and when I need some, I call and they order it from wherever, Germany, India, wherever. It's all generic Teldenafil Citrate, and one He]] of a lot cheaper than the $15-22 a pill from Walgreen's. Forget ****** and Levitra - a GF had experience (well, her husband) with those, and they don't work, for him or for me. BTW, she's a widow - there's a story, there, too...
Hmmm - the software asterisked out the trade names for the male-enhancement meds - use your imagination...

First point: at least 95% of generic meds are manufactured and packaged in India, China, East Asia. Second point: counterfeit drugs are a huge international problem. Third point: Wal Mart's "$4" list of numerous generic drugs is a great deal, but WM has a very sophisticated pricing system for cash pay patients taking drugs not on "the list" and they have extremely high markups on those drugs. Take a few minutes and price check! Know who you're buying from--

    Mr. Dahl,
Most of our drugs are manufactured overseas; if you have doubts, your doctor or PA can check against a database to certify that the drug is genuine.

    True story.

I am an international freight forwarder for living. I had a client with a pharmacy who used to get me to import medicines from Canada to NZ then I would turn them around and send them to places like the Bahamas etc where post 'scripts would be filled. It still worked out CHEAPER.

Most all of the 'normal' drugs are from overseas. Test them at Cleveland, then make elsewhere - where ever taxes are low. Puerto Rico was closed down years ago.
    Whatever!
