    Making My Own Swage Press

I am planning on building my own swage press and was wondering if there would be any interest from the masses in buying a couple if I made a few?

I have a bunch of material lying around and thought Id put it to use!

It would probably depend upon the price you were selling them for.

I will have to figure up material cost. I dont have an immediate use for it right now but cant afford to give it away either. Ill figure it out and let you know.

Just curious... How many pounds of force do the swage presses generate? More than the HF arbor presses that people buy for making gas checks? Yeah, I know that it takes more force to swage bullets than it does to make a gas check, but I'm just curious how much the swage presses compare in the amount of force they can generate.

Very good idea and smart of you. As per the rules of the Swapping and Selling forum should one wish to sell items for "commercial" or "volume" based business venture a Vendor Sponsor membership is required.

    Good luck in your endeavors!

    Good shooting and Swage on!

It will be a while before I have a prototype built. I will be taking bits from a couple designs and fine tuning. It will most likely resemble aneats design with some changes. Props to him. Its a sound design.

To clarify I will not be taking anyones money until I have a finished product.

Your typical small arbor press is rated at 1/2 or 1 ton. I made a swage press for .224 bullets from a 16000 pound in line toggle clamp. I don't know what force I need I am glad I bought the biggest one I could find.
