I usually shoot Universal powder in my 357 Marlin and Ruger Blackhawk. My typical cartridge is a Lee 158-grain RNFP loading with 5.8 grains of Universal with a magnum primer. Due to the powder shortage I've had a hard time getting Universal, but was able to find IMR SR7625. SR7625 looks to be very similar to Universal, except it is single based and burns a little slower. I figure an equivalent loading would be about the same 5.8 grains
that I'm using now.
Does anyone have any experience with SR7625, and any thoughts or observations on its performance?
Thanks,
