I've been thinking the same thing. Mainly that I wish the 92 was .429" like my handguns, and I think this is some of the best news I've had in the past few days.

Why can they not make the barrels .429 or .430? Or should I ask why will they not make them 429?
I have no idea. All I know is that there is one SAAMI spec for handguns in .44 Mag, and a different one for rifles. But as to the why, it has never made sense to me, so maybe someone will come along and edumacate us both on this.
