    im sure lead give better exspension ..... no gold could be good being nice and soft , it would just require a gas check...........................maybe a load of cash too

    Those solid silver cast bullets ought to perform similarly to solid copper slugs, i.e. no expansion, but lots and lots of penetration, even at significantly lighter weight than lead the same size. From a .444, they might well even defeat soft ballistic cloth armor. The real question is going to be (if he ever updates again) what happens when they shoot a .430 diameter bullet that hard over a .444 load. The oversize bore of most Marlin lever guns may be a literal lifesaver there...

    I think I would try the silver solder and just add it to my lead. First you have to figure out what % silver in the lead is needed for werewolf hunting.

    Well, if you want to get into how much silver you actually need, first you need to have werewolves to test on (and take along a few pure silver bullets, just in case -- like having a stopping rifle when you go to hunt lions with a .44 Magnum revolver).
