Like most gun loonies, over the course of many years of handloading, I have accumulated a heckuva lot of odds and ends of powders which sit quietly by whilst I do most of my loading with a mere handful of 'regular' powders. Last night I was looking at it and found some HS-7, HS-6, 800X, W-680, H-322 that I haven't touched in years, and some for which I have no memory of why I got it. The H-322 was my favorite back when I shot a .223 when hunting ground hogs, for example. I did recently load some .45 Colts with some HS-6. Aside from those uses, do any of these powders have a righteous place in loading cast bullets in centerfire rifles?
I've been stuck in a rut using SR-4759, Unique, 2400, RL-7, 3031 for so long in most any .25-.30 caliber rifle that I can't see the forest for the trees anymore!
