What are you shooting behind the .30 Lee 170-RFN, gas checked.

I recentlly acquired the above mold, will be shooting in 30/30 marlins, and a Handi rifle, and a 98 mauser 30/06 I built with a 1-10 twist. What are your best powders, will be sizing it .309, Lyman Orange Magic or Moly lube, Hornady gas checks. I want to run it as fast as possible, or 1900 fps if possible, have done this in my 6.5x5 swede with great accuracy, sum moa for 5 shots, used AA2230. All load advice appreciated.

I use that boolit in Marlins and Winchesters, but I size at .311. You can pick a load from any reloading manual for jacketed bullets and use the starting load, then work up. My personal favorite is H-335 for full loads and BlueDot for reduced loads.

Reloader 7 has been the best for me, but it is pretty powder friendly, meaning it does well with a range of powders.

All the advice is good. My pet target load is 16.5 of 2400. For hunting loads in 30-30, I would go with Rx7.
