Use of rimfire cases for jackets

Has anyone used rimfire jacketed bullets in a fast twist (1-7) barrel. If so, how did it work out. Wanting to build some bullets for my XP-100 with a fast twist barrel and want to know if it will work at speeds of 2600 FPS (or slower) Thanks

I have not personally tried it but have had guys shoot bullets I made out of an AR with a 1 in 7 twist. He had a very nice match barrel. I would say I think you would be fine especially with the slower velocity. I would ask someone close to you if they would let you try a few.

I've shot some of my 56 gr. ones with 24.5 grains RE15 in a 1:7 Colt barrel, no problems.
