Jack,
I cast in my basement. I do have an exhaust fan that is vented to the outdoors. But, I flux with a wooden dowel, the only fumes from it is wood smoke. There are no fumes from just casting. Smelting wheel weights into ingots, now that creates fumes by the metric ton. I do that outside and outside only.
Welcome to the site.

(I think, therefore I'm armed.)
i love that table, looks vintage.
I love the bench also & that appears to be a Cornbinder Stool.
Joe, now that is an awesome bench! Really old school!

Jack, after consulting with members here, I built a fume hood with steel exhaust ducted through the walls and attic spaces to a second-story gable wall and a remote, in-line 500 CFM fan mounted right at the exhaust louver so it's not droning right over my head. Many basement casters simply locate their pot in front of a basement window and install a small box fan in the window. Be mindful of cross-ventilation, duct the fresh air in from behind you if you can.

Thanks bowhunter, LAH and LUBEDUDE for the kind words!
After a few days it is starting to fill and I dont even have my press or lyman 450 mounted yet.
It just goes to show, we live with what we have and more is never enough.

You are so right Joe, but then it wouldn't be a REAL Work-Bench then would it?
I like how you did those drawers - nice and simple.
Looks Great!

Finally got everything moved into the garage so it's all in one spot. Not pretty but fully functional.
I made the decision to just clamp down a few tools at a time so I can keep the bench top accessible. It gets used for more than just reloading.
Hey Princeout- that Universal 3 will look good on that bench!
Dragon - sure looks organized!
