I used the 45-45-10 mix. These bullets have what is like oil on them. All I can think is because it's cold out where I let them dry.

Put them someplace warmer and blow a fan over them. They should dry quite nicely.
Applied properly that lube, with one coat, should almost appear to not be there. MIT should look like a light coat of varnish. If heavier than that then you used more than needed.
