dual caliber 308 sub sonic bullets

these aren't fresh off the press anymore But I whipped these 225 grain bullets up for my 300 AAC BLK, the down range results are pretty impressive at around 950 FPS.
The plan now is to use BT Snipers copper tube jacket dies and get this bullet up to 250-260 grain, just have a couple things to clear off the work bench and then I can get started. Using commercial jackets it takes five trips through the press to complete a bullet, add 3 or 4 more for using copper tubing for a jacket. I have sent some of these to a fellow who is going to be chasing wild hogs in Texas and am patiently awaiting to hear of his results.

Nice work sort of reminds me a bit of the old school Barnes 250 Gr round nose soft tips in .30 they no longer offer.

I think it is just the camera angle, I think it is the soft lead(usually dark grey) not shiney like cast.

V.I. are those slugs two different sizes?
    Smaller in the nose portion?
Is that what the ring is?

the blue on the tip is infact the exposed lead, and yes the nose of the bullet is .300 and the base is .308, This allowed me to get the bullet out of the case to get back my case capacity for powder. the ring on the bullet midway down is where the diameters change

    Ok, I'm confused

Ok, if even trying to understand this one, please help me out. The top half is .300 the bottom half is .308. WHY?

Bore rider design, it allows you to seat the bullet out farther so that you maintain case capacity for powder. With a standard 300 aac blk chamber and the lead a 225 grain bullet would be in a half a inch past the shoulder, hopefully that all makes sense

Ok besides magic how did you make them? I am looking at something like that for my suppressed rifle. Right now it's a 225 gr cast boolit.
