You pick it up from the gun smith yet Duke?
You gotta tell these guys what he is doing/did to it.

Yes, got it back.
He "unitized" the front band, which is a major fix for accuracy.
He also did some clearance adjusting on some parts.
He bedded the receiver.
Installed a bipod adapter, tweaked the break on the trigger, and changed out some tired springs.
Runs slick and very accurate
If anyone needs M1A work done, this guy is the best:

I heard that Boyds is gauging interest to the stocks they do not carry.
There is a form to fill out on their web site. It does not let you specify what kind of stock you are requesting, but you can do so by replying to an auto-generated email you would receive. I did and someone replied to me via email that they would discuss the possibility of making an M14 stock I wanted.
The form is called Product request form here http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/Can-t-...-gun-s/164.htm
I had a buddy who refinished his M1 Garrand and Mini 14 to extremely polished presentation rifles. The hand rubbed tung oil finish looked like 1" thick glass and the bluing do deep it looked like a dark mirror. The rifle above reminded me of my buddy's handiwork and makes me want to refinish my 180 model Mini 14. On another note, I saw a set of wood stocks on an AR platform that was given a low gloss finish. I can't help but think a deep gloss finish on that wood contrasted by the dark flat finish would make an interesting combo. Frank

One of the most beautiful rifles in the world, I have the image of a M14 forever burned into my brain.
These men and their hypnotized followers call this a new order. It is not new. It is not order.
