Factory Front Sight For Marlin 375

I need to order a new front sight for a Marlin 375 for a family member. The current front sight is incorrect and we are going to put a 1/16" bead on that is the proper height. I don't have another Marlin 375 to check. Would anyone be able to measure a factory Marlin 375 front sight? I may not be able to get the exact height, but if I can get close that will be great. Thank you.

Get the sight from Brownells. It is a Marble brand sight. The Brownells tech guy will probably know which one is the correct height.

If you order it off the parts drawing for that gun it will probably be correct. I doubt that Marlin had a bunch of different height sights for different calibers of 336 actioned guns. I can see different heights for different actions like 336 or 1894 etc. but not within one action type.

Is that for sure 0.0325 or 0.325"? I presume it would be the later. Thanks I appreciate it.

    Randy,

The original bead would have been a 3/32" I believe. Not the 1/16" we are looking for plus I prefer Williams bead sights as they have been more consistant for me than Marble's or Lyman.

    Thanks y'all.
