    wolf magnum small rifle primers

    i have a pile of wolf magnum small rifle primers can i use them in the 300 blackout with 296 and 1680 170 to 202 cast bullets tks ken

    You are in the wrong section for asking reloading questions, but yes you can use them, just start at the lowest suggested loading data and work up

    Wolf (PMC, Tula?) primers seem to have a good reputation and in some tests they produce a small but consistent flame. This is thought to give lower SD's and better accuracy. From what I know and have gleaned from the Web is:

    Small Rifle-Normal cup, normal charge, copper colored

    Small Rifle Magnum-Hard cup, normal charge, brass colored

    Small Rifle 223-hard cup, hotter charge, brass colored (for AR's)

    I use the SR223 in my AR. I have not used any of the other two.
